What fun it is to ride with EBC - IT'S EVEN MORE FUN TO LEAD A RIDE!
If you are planning or even just considering leading an EBC ride during the 2017 season, mark your calendar for this special event, which typically is only held every two years. Whether you have led 1,000 rides, or 0 rides, you are welcome and encouraged to join us.
Whether it's a slow social ride...a memorable, moderate ride...or a freaky fast ride...
EVERY RIDE NEEDS A LEADER.
And every Ride Leader benefits from a little training.
When: Saturday, March 25th
Time: 2:30 pm for new and inexperienced Ride Leaders
3:30 pm for experienced Ride Leaders
Where: Wilmette Public Library, Main Auditorium downstairs

Purpose:
- Train new Ride Leaders
- Help existing Ride Leader improve their rides
- Provide a forum for Ride Leaders to share ideas
This year the training will be done in two sessions:
- 2:30 pm session will cover basic ride guidelines, how to schedule & post a ride and how to lead a ride. This session is geared toward new and inexperienced Ride Leaders.
- 3:30 pm session will cover how to select and create a route and safe riding tips. This session will include a brief tutorial on Ride With GPS - an excellent internet tool for mapping routes and creating cue sheets. Also included: overview of the new EBC Routes Library. This session is geared toward ALL Ride Leaders.
YOU ARE MOST WELCOME TO ATTEND EITHER OR BOTH SESSIONS.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW BY TUESDAY, March 21st which session(s) you would like to attend so I know how many cookies to bake!
If you are attending the first session, please plan to arrive around 2:15pm as we need to start the training at 2:30pm sharp!
