War between bikes and cars the subject of a TV dra...

Richard, you're only considering what happens if you limit the combat and weapons to the vehicles.

Someone else had said they thought it was about motorcycles.  I saw an ad for it today; there was a green Bicycle on the road with broken light/reflector material around it, along with a body, another shot of a helmeted cyclist looking behind him, later being shown getting tailgates dead-center by a car, followed by the same cyclist doing an end-over, accompanied with dialog saying "driver never stopped -- there was no trace of skid marks."

It appears to be about a serial cyclist killer.  I think it is DEFINITELY worth watching.

"solve a tragic hit-and-run" sounds like the cyclist is the likely victim.

I have not seen a motorist described as a victim of a hit and run by a cyclist.

Subject: [EBC Social] War between bikes and cars the subject of a TV drama this week

The description of this week's episode of the TNT show Major Crimes starts with "The war between bicycles and cars escalates on the streets of L.A. ..."

There could be the opportunity for some dialog after this airs, particularly if non-cyclists take it as influenced by fact.  Likely, cyclists will probably not be portrayed as the angels of traffic -- we are not.  I'm sad to say it this way, but I hope they only portray cyclists getting injured or killed, as that's the real-world result of impact between a bicycle and a motor vehicle.

I'm going to watch; be prepared for the opportunity to engage people discussing this in a positive fashion.  Also, be on the lookout for the next few weeks for any driver who might be negatively influenced by viewing this.
