Attached is a flyer I've received about a bike show in mid-July in Bloomington that might be of interest to some of our historically-minded members. Also anyone interested in eating ice cream and listening to a performance by a regimental band.
It takes place at the David Davis mansion. Davis was a U.S. Senator from Illinois, an Associate Justice of the U.S Supreme Court and, perhaps at least as famously, one of Abraham Lincoln's campaign managers who engineered his nomination as the Republican candidate for President in 1860. Nothing has ever been the same since.
