EBC Cyclists:
On Sunday 06-18-17, there will be a 'casual ride' of about 25 miles to and from Glencoe by a circuitous route somewhat following the North Shore Century's 25 mile course. The ride will start at Panera in Wilmette at 9:00am and, with divine intervention and expert navigation, will end later that day at Panera in Wilmette.
The route will be on mostly residential streets, including some used in the recent 2017 Glencoe Grand Prix bicycle races. However, this is a tour and not a race, and we will move at the approximate classic 'casual' pace of 10 to 12 mph depending on the wind and elevation changes. The ride will be similar to a 'Hollywood' tour as we will be passing by or near the homes of many famous Evanston Bicycle Club members. We will have a feedbag at 'Once Upon a Bagel' in Hubbard Woods as our brunch stop.
The weather conditions should be fine. Hope to see you at Panera.
