Tuesday Moderate Ride – October 10th – 9:00 AM – Panera

This week we are scheduled to ride to Ryerson Woods for a fall color walk. Fall color, at least so far, has been rather weak this year, but we'll go and see what we can see. Our total distance will be around 40 miles. My pace will be a moderate 13 - 15 mph. If there is enough interest and a willing leader, we will have a second group traveling at around 16 mph.

You might want to bring some walking shoes, if you don't want to walk in your cycling shoes.

Lunch will be at Greek Feast. It is likely to be a bit later than usual, so please breakfast and snack accordingly.

Tomorrow's weather forecast is a bit problematic. It is expected to be cloudy in the morning with off and on showers in the afternoon. At present the rain is not expected to begin until 4 PM. The high temperature will be around 65 degrees with the wind out of the NE at 10 to 20 mph. There is a 60% chance of rain. Having gotten soaked twice in the last six weeks, I will be rather conservative this week. I'll cancel or shorten the ride if the weather appears threatening. If it is necessary to cancel the ride, I'll post an announcement to the listserv before 8 AM on Tuesday.
