Corrected Start Date Evanston Bike Club Classes St...
Author Last Post
VQ has issued a correction to the starting date for the next training session. It starts on 2/26/2018 not 3/10/2018 as the original email stated. See the email bellow for details, but ignore the date in it.
Sorry for the confusion.
Felix

Never been to VQ before? We LOVE welcoming new Evanston Bike Club athletes to our class! You can expect:

  • A fun, challenging environment with your fellow EBC athletes where everyone works out in a group setting but at their own ability level
  • Structured intensity workouts to help you grow as a cyclist
  • Average improvement over an 8 week session is 13%
  • A detailed workout report emailed to you after class

Indoor Intensity Rides at VQ
Don't let the word "intensity" overwhelm you, these are just hard workouts that are based off of your ability. Every 75-minute, instructor led, intensity ride at Vision Quest has a specific goal and is part of a larger, 8-week "Phase" of workouts and this next phase is the Strength Phase. On a scale of 1 to 10, you can expect our workouts to have a perceived exertion rate between 7 and 10 at times.
Climbing Phase Overview
No matter how much you ride or how competitive you are, you will encounter hills. Getting up them faster is always a good thing. This phase is focused on making you a better climber. By using a variety of longer efforts aimed at threshold power, you will increase your sustainable power, climb better, and improve your overall cycling performance. See you at the top!
