I plan to lead the customary Friday Fast ride tomorrow to Bluffington's Cafe. Yes, it will be cold, but the streets will be dry.
Wilmette conditions: 9:00 am air temp 26, real feel 13; wind NW 13 mph;
1 pm air temp 31, real feel 22, wind W 10 mph
Lake Bluff conditions: 11:00 am: air temp 28, real feel 16, wind NW 12 mph
Let's not let real feel numbers scare us off. When we were kids, we knew that the effects of cold air temps were increased by wind. Real feel numbers contribute to hyperbole. Further, WE ARE LIKELY TO GET SNOW ON SATURDAY, thus ruining our weekend riding.
