The driver obviously did not see the cyclist who was dressed in all black. No guarantee, but hi-vis colors and flashing lights & reflectors may have helped the cyclist to be seen by the truck driver from further away, long before he got to the intersection. With bad sight lines on turning vehicles and drivers distracted by cell phones, texting and dashboard electronics, it is extremely important to be as visible as possible as soon as possible. Please don't wear all black or camouflage colors!
Unfortunately, even that won't help if the driver is impaired.....

It is not just a truck that you have to worry about turning a sharp corner. Any large vehicle including buses, turn wide like that!

Painful to watch. He’s also one very, very lucky cyclist.

For those who don’t want to dream about this video at night: one of the most dangerous places to be as a cyclist is on the right side of a truck at an intersection.
