Hi Patricia,
My wife Rita McMahon has had at least one type of knee-pain injection, to treat arthritis.
Rita and I both have used Andrew Engel, MD, d.b.a. Affordable Pain Management, with certifications in both pain and anesthesiology. He is very good, can spend a lot of time with each patient because his offices have very low rent, and is usually available within a week. He is in Libertyville on Thursdays, and the other weekdays in Chicago's Edgewater Beach neighborhood (in the basement of The Breakers old folks' residence). (Dr. Andy often leaves town when his kids have school vacation. Visit him on Wednesdays if you need a Russian-English interpreter!)
Rita,
Can you comment further on knee-pain injections?
Chris

Does anyone have any experience having either of these injections for knee arthritis? If so, would you be willing to share your experience (in a call or otherwise)? I'm trying to get a second opinion but it is challenging to find doctors in general or to find a doctor that does these unless one contacts one of the less traditional entities like QC Kinetics.
Any info would be appreciated.
