This week, in expectation of warm weather this Friday, we'll take a short ride to a location that the club has enjoyed many times in the past, ERIS Brewery and Cider House. Expected mileage is a touch under 23 miles, with a significant portion on the North Shore Channel Trail.
Dining Notes:
ERIS makes a very fine smashburger, and also several Cajun inspired dishes. There are fresh salads, so vegan diners have options! Many have complemented the mac and cheese, which I contend is improved by the addition of some smoked brisket. ( I'll also point out that on weekends, there is a terrific brunch menu, which unfortunately won't be available on Friday. )

Beer and Cider Notes:
ERIS, a woman-owned brewing organization, has a wide assortment of dry and hopped ciders. Their Pedestrian cider is a classic modern dry cider, their Blush includes cherry colors and flavors, and their E-phoria is cider for people who love extra vanilla. Cider slushies are also available and might be desirable, given the estimated temperature Friday.
ERIS also brews beer, although at the moment, I can only find a listing of their collaboration beers. I have tasted several of their beers in the past, and find them to be good examples of modern American styles. There are also a limited number of good cocktails on the menu.

In deference to those of you who dislike (if not detest) city rides, I revised this route so we do not travel eastbound on Montrose.
COMING ATTRACTIONS:
I've also selected the last 3 destinations for this year's brewpub series. People who prefer distilled spirits to beer - you have two treats to look forward to; Maplewood Brewery and Distilling on August 22, and a special afternoon ride to Koval Distillery's Tasting Room for sophisticated cocktails on September 5. Our final destination for the season will be Bungalow by Middle Brow - which was originally scheduled for September 19, but will be moved to a date after the North Shore Century. Stay tuned for details!
