I rode my bike to the No Kings Rally in Fountain Square today. On the way home I came upon two police cars with their lights on and revolving, a passenger car between them with its door open. Then I saw a bike upright (on a kickstand I guess, but I never actually checked) on the sidewalk. Oh no, a bike accident, I thought. Then I saw the cyclist standing a bit away from the bike, looking more or less healthy. It was our own Rebecca Tung. She had also attended the rally, and on the way home she had been hit by a car and had taken flight. According to her she was “only” bruised and had a scrape on her cheek. She had an ice pack on her knee. Ed arrived to take her and the bike home, while I was there. I only spoke with her briefly and hope that I have not muddled anything in this report.
