Glenview, Wilmette, and Ridge Bicycle Improvements - Open House

The Village of Wilmette is holding an Open House Monday, November 10, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Centennial Recreational Complex (2300 Old Glenview Road) regarding proposed bicycle accommodation improvements along Glenview Road, Wilmette Ave., and Ridge Road. This meeting will include the opportunity to review exhibits, provide comments, and meet with the project team. 

The project includes:

•   Shared lanes on Glenview Road between Long Road and Skokie Highway

•   Designated bike lanes on Glenview Road and Wilmette Avenue between Skokie Highway and Ridge Road

•   Shared lanes on Ridge Road between Isabella Street and Elmwood Avenue

This informal meeting format allows residents to stop by at any time to review exhibits, provide comments, meet with the project team on a one-on-one basis, share feedback, and ask questions. Topics presented will include the purpose and need for the project, alternatives considered, and the tentative construction schedule. Preliminary engineering reports, environmental documentation, maps, drawings, and aerial exhibits will be available for review during the meeting and may also be viewed upon request.
