Tuesday Moderate Ride – A Very Big Maybe
As of this writing (Sunday 11/9 at 7:45 PM) I am unable to even hazard a guess about what the road conditions might be on Tuesday. Three to five inches of snow are expected in the next 12 hours, and the temperature between now and ride time on Tuesday will be a few degrees either side of freezing. Temperatures on Tuesday are expected to be within my acceptable range for a winter ride, and the risk of precipitation is low, so the major question in my mind is the condition of the roads. I intend to take advantage of the new winter ride posting schedule and delay posting my intentions until sometime Monday afternoon (before 5 PM). Here’s hoping I can do more than guess then.
If we do ride on Tuesday, I’m thinking a later start (10 AM), a shorter ride (30 – 35 miles), and comfort food (Omega or Max’s Delli for example). Stay tuned.
