Bike Specific Glasses
I have Oakley sport sunglasses with nonprescription lenses that I replaced with prescription lenses made by Doyle Opticians, 964.5 Green Bay Rd, Winnetka (847-446-6264). The Rx lenses look exactly like the original lenses. I have done this several times with Doyle and have been very satisfied with them.

I am about to purchase a rather expensive prescription set of bike glasses.

I picked Rudy Project "Spinshield Air"

IMpact X Photchormatic

Optical inserts - Progressive Lens

Light Transmission: 10 - 66%

Filter Category: 1 to 3

Base Tint: Black

Main reason for these, is there is a deal nearby that has samples to try on and grinds lens in house.

I am a bit uncomfortable that they only go to 66%, wish it was a bit higher, mid 70s. But it is what it is.

Given they are optical inserts, even though they say they can do it, i am a bit skeptical about the result vs. single prescription.

Has anyone bought prescription bike glasses? are there other brand(s) i should consider, where you happy with the choice.?
