This Sunday I am planning to lead an EBC contingent at the annual Ramble, organized by the Bicycle Club of Lake County. This event offers a choice of routes of 23, 30, 45, 50, 75, 80 or 100 miles, made up of loops, plus SAG support and a well-stocked rest stop. Registration is $35 ($40 day of event). See link below.
The start location at the Wilmot Mountain Tubing Chalet, 12301 Fox River Rd, Twin Lakes, WI, is about 75 minutes by car from Evanston. I expect to ride 50-60 miles, at the low end of Fast Plus, but participants may ride whatever distance and pace they prefer. I plan to be at the ride's check-in at 8:45 am.
Sunday's weather looks good - partly cloudy, temps in the 70's and 80's, moderate winds. If conditions change significantly for the worse, I'll post an update by 7:00 am Sunday.
