After consulting several forecasts of Chicago air quality for tomorrow, and riding 24+ miles in this mess, I am POSTPONING the Half Acre Brewpub Ride until Friday, July 24.
While it is by no means certain the air quality tomorrow will be as horrid as today, enjoying anything other than a rauchbier (smoked beer) outdoors in this air quality is a futile effort. And since I want my brewpub rides to be fun, rather than a chore, I think it best to avoid what appears to be another day of life in a BBQ smoker.
So I will see all you beer fanatics a week from tomorrow, and I will post a reminder next week.

P.S. Next week promises to be a good week for beverages, as I am substituting for Pete Glaser for next Thursday's moderate ride, and our destination will be the Eris Brewery and Cider House. So cider Thursday and beer Friday next week, weather permitting.
