Tuesday Moderate Ride – July 21st – 9:00 AM – Panera
There is a rumor that the temperature will be below 90 degrees and the air breathable on Tuesday. If this should in fact be the case, I will lead a moderately paced (13 to 15 mph) ride to Lake Forest. Here is a link to the route I will be using: Lake Forest 40 · Ride with GPS. Our route to Lake Forest and back will be mostly familiar with a variation on the final approach to Lake Forest that will bring us into downtown from the west along some streets we seldom ride. The total distance will be a tad less than 40 miles. Lunch will be at Hometown Coffee & Juice in Lake Forest.
For the moment the forecast for Tuesday is: generally sunny with a few afternoon clouds. Winds from the NW at 10 to 20 mph. The temperature range during ride time will be 74 to 84 degrees. The Air Quality Index will be moderate. If the actual weather should be vastly different from this making it prudent to cancel the ride or significantly alter our plans, I will post an announcement to the listserv before 7:30 AM.
