After consulting half a dozen forecasts, it appears with absolute certainty that we will get rain sometime this afternoon.  The question, of course, is when will it begin, and how heavy will it be...

At this time, it appears likely that the earliest rain will start over the Channel Trail is about 2 p.m., with rain almost certain by 3.  The eastern edge of the rain front appears to be light to moderate in intensity.  So...

Our current route, if we roll at 11:10, should get us to Maplewood by 12:30.  If we started back by 1:30, we should beat most of the rain, arrival at Chandler estimated around 2:30 (11 miles).

So, based on this, today's brewpub ride is a GO!  Bring rain gear if you dislike being wet.

When we convene, we can even discuss alternate, shorter routes down to the brewery... we can easily cut up to 4 miles out of the southbound route, which would buy us 20 minutes or so, by simply doing a "down and back" route.  We'll decide once we convene.
