I'm concerned about the heat index warnings that have already started arriving for "Dangerously hot conditions with heat index values of 100 to 105 expected". Considering that I've found just walking a challenge the past 2 days, I'm not willing to bike under today's conditions!
Let’s ride up to Highland Park and have a picnic! We’ll take a quick rest stop at Braeside Market on the way, if you prefer to grab a coffee shop sandwich or salad (I have paniers). Then we’ll ride down a pretty ravine, take a quick hike uphill to the Schaffner Garden, and then ride back UP the ravine to find a less buggy place to picnic. If time permits, I’ll show you some other nearby secrets.
