Here is some information about Sunday's VF NSC preview ride:

-We will start from Gillson Park in Wilmette at 7 AM.

-Temperatures are predicted to be around 70 for the first 2 hours, rising to around 80 at the end of the ride. Winds are currently predicted to be about 8 mph from the SE.

-We may, depending on the group's needs, skip the first rest stop at 19 miles and instead ride straight through to the rest stop at 34 miles.

-The next stop will be at Culver's in Kenosha at 52 miles.

-There are two more rest stops at 69 miles and at 88 miles. The total distance of the route we will be following is 99 miles. We shave off one mile by not going to the Pleasant Prairie rest stop.

-The rest stops are all in parks and will have water and bathrooms, but no food or beverages for purchase. I recommend bringing two water bottles and plenty of nourishment.

-We'll try to keep our rest stops (excluding Culver's) at around 15 minutes.

-I estimate that we will get back around 3 PM.

This link is the only way I have been able to access this route. The route is titled "NSC26 100 (Culvers B)". I recommend downloading it to your cyclometer - it will help you when you are taking your turn in front.

Please let me know if you plan to join us so I can look for you.
