Weather forecast for Friday 9/11 is excellent, good day to do the previously cancelled Chinatown ride.

We’ll view ten murals of cultural and historical significance on the ride, planned stops include Chinatown Square, Public Library Chinatown branch, Chinese American Museum, Ping Tom Park.

Lunch stop will be in the food court of 88 Marketplace, the largest Asian Supermarket in our region. https://88marketplace.com/. While credit cards are accepted without extra fee, paying cash can get you a 10% discount in some of the food stalls.

We’ll take the lake front path both ways, pace is at the low end of moderate, total distance around 35 miles. Some of the streets we ride on can have heavy traffic, it takes time to view the murals and dine at leisure, we likely won’t get back till between 2-2:30pm. There’s limited number of bike racks in front of the 88 Market Place, please bring a secure lock, we’ll group-lock together.

On the way down, We’ll stop at North Ave Beach for bathroom break, if anyone wants to join the ride there, please let me know so I can look out for you. Rough estimate of arrival time is 9:30am.
