Hello EBC members,

Our very own member, Nate Kipnis, has been nominated to a Lerch Bates Peoples Choice award for his construction of Margaret Stender's house. Please read the message from Design Evanston for more information and vote for Nate.

Thank you, Connie

Hello Design Evanston Members,

Member Nate Kipnis' firm's project, the Passive House at 1210 Maple in Evanston (known as Evanston's First Passive House) and the subject of a spring 2025 DE tour, has been nominated for the Lerch Bates People’s Choice awards by the AIA Chicago chapter. It's been nominated in the "Single Family, New Construction" category, along with three others, and is the only one of the four nominees in that category that is Passive House Certified

This is the first time Nate has been shortlisted for an AIA Chicago award. His firm is up against some of Chicagoland's "Godzillas of Architecture", so let's get out the vote to support Nate!

To learn more about the house from the Kipnis Architecture + Planning website, click here, or read this article from Great Lakes by Design.

As this is a People’s Choice award, please forward this to as many people as you can!

Voting is due before the end of day next Wednesday, September 16.
