Tuesday Moderate Ride – October 27th – 9:00 AM – Panera
In accordance with the first principle of Halloween ascetics – “too much is never enough” – I have added two houses to this year’s Halloween House Tour. Here from my library is a link to the route that I will use: Halloween House Tour 2026 (A) · Ride with GPS. Our total distance is nearly 33 miles. I will ride at a moderate (13 – 15 mph) pace, but with our frequent stops this ride is likely to take a bit longer than usual. With enough interest we can have a second group led by Will that will travel a bit faster between the houses, but with the same frequent stops. We will stop at six houses between Evanston and Highland Park and ride through a display along the McClory Bike Path. Although we visited some of these houses last year most have new features, and, as is their wont, the house at 818 Monroe in Evanston has an entirely new theme for this year. This is one of my most photogenic rides. Take lots of pictures and submit them to the EBC Scrapbook (scrapbook@evanstonbikeclub.org)
Lunch will be at Once Upon a Bagel in Highland Park. Please note that lunch is at mile 21, after stops at four houses. In other words, lunch could be later than usual. Please breakfast and snack accordingly.
