Hello All,

Looks like a good time to head south before crowds of summer begin on the lake front. and the wind for Wed is from the SE at 8 mph. As I write this on Monday evening, there is a 40% chance of rain so please stay tuned.

The route may either be the North Shore Channel Trail to Lincoln to Halsted to 18th street, then return on the Lake Front Trail, or

the Lake Front Trail both ways.

This National Museum of Mexican Art stands out as the most prominent first-voice institution for Mexican art and culture in the United States.  Admission is free.

 Distance: around 40 miles RT

Please bring a good lock

Food stop will be at the iconic Cafe Jumping Bean on 18th Street. It will probably be a long day so expect return to Evanston around 2-3pm.

Let's Ride! However.. The weather apps do show 30-57% chance of rain between 2 and 4 pm which is when we'd be returning on the lake front,,,,,, I'll monitor the weather as we ride south and may decide to change the venue doing a shorter ride to be back by 1:30 pm.

Like many things in biking this is situational.... weather, number of riders, traffic, construction. The alternate option would be a ride to Hexe Coffee / cafe at Damen and Diversey.
