Lakefront Trail (Diversey to North) Closing During...

The construction should not be a problem if you need to use that section of the Lakefront Trail.  There is a very good paved path thru Lincoln Park on the west side of Lake Shore Drive which will be the official detour.  Heading south, the official detour is to exit the Lakefront Trail at Diversey and go under LSD to the paved path west of the harbor.  That exit involves a rather dangerous blind curve on a narrow path under LSD.  Instead, I would suggest exiting the Lakefront Trail a bit earlier.  Just south of Belmont, there is a much safer, wide path under LSD which takes you directly to the paved path thru Lincoln Park.

Starting next week, the Lakefront Trail will be closed for construction between Diversey and North avenues as the project to separate the bike and pedestrian paths continues.
